The study analyzes the quality of life in institutionalized Older People and the associated factors that influence their well-being.

- Overall quality of life: It was evidenced that the quality of life in institutionalized Older People tends to be affected mainly by physical health factors and emotional state.

- Greater dependence on basic activities of daily living is associated with lower perception of quality of life.
- The presence of multiple chronic diseases negatively impacts overall well-being.
- Mental and emotional health:
- Depressive symptoms show a significant relationship with lower quality of life.

- The perception of companionship and emotional support significantly improves quality of life levels.

In conclusion:
The quality of life in institutionalized Older People does not depend solely on their medical condition, but also on emotional, functional, and social factors. Gerontological nursing plays a key role in implementing strategies that promote dignified, active aging and well-being within institutions.
